Site safety managers oversee and manager the operations on a construction or work site. They often are in charge of safety regulations, occupational and health hazards, first aid, food and environment, and mainly safety on work sites. The main role of site safety managers are to make sure that the work sites in Manhattan or any other part of NY are safe to work in.
In order to become a site safety manager in Manhattan or any of the other 5 boroughs of NY, you must first become certified and to become a certified site safety manager in Manhattan or any other part of NY, you must meet the following requirements: Be at least 18 years old, be able to read, write and understand the English language, have completed a Department of Buildings approved Site Safety Manager training course, have a good moral and character, and also meet one of the six qualifications listed on the table on the second page of the following “How to Become a NYC Certified Site Safety Manager” article in the following URL: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dob/downloads/pdf/ssm_req_guide.pdf
In addition to meeting those requirements, you must also pass the Site Safety Manager examination to become certified in Manhattan and other parts of NY.
